M/s Shakti Bhog Foods Ltd (SBFL), incorporated in 1992 was pioneer in branding and packaging a daily use item like wheat flour. The company has successfully nurtured and developed the “Shakti Bhog” brand over the years and is today using the brand equity to enter other daily use consumption items like rice, salt and porridge (dalia).

The company has got ISO 9001 to 2000 certification from BSI, London, U.K. meant for quality systems to manufacture products hygienically. This certificate also fulfills the requirement to export the products in U.S.A., Europe and other developed countries which company has started with full strength of qualified and experienced marketing team. The company is exporting its products i.e. wheat Atta, Rice, Daliya etc. to USA, major European countries and Middle-East countries.

At present the company manufactures wheat flour for the premium segment (middle class, upper middle class and upper class) of the market constituting approx. 30% of the total Atta market. The company has launched a new product brand “tiger” to cater the rest 70% of general market segment (i.e. lower middle class, upper lower class and lower class). Since the consumer of this market segment consumes low cost wheat Atta, the company is manufacturing and marketing reasonably good quality wheat flour at competitive lower rates.

The company, at present, is in process of manufacturing tie-ups at Khapoli near Mumbai to cater whole of the Maharashtra, Gujarat and part of the Southwest Zone, Kanpur to cater the East Zone, and Indore to cater the South and Central Zone. The negotiation is also in process around Bangalore with some unit for exclusive manufacturing tie-up so as to have competitive rates and continuous supply.
